NPR rescued a chicken yesterday, and it’s gotten lots of media attention. Staffers at the Washington, D.C., location found a hen trying to cross the road (again, we’re not making this up) by the NPR headquarters. NPR posted a story about it, which included an interview with chicken expert and Arizona State University research professor Jagdev Sharma.

The result? A Twitter page called NPR Chicken. It already has 609 followers and some pretty awesome tweets. Here are some of our favorites:
